Mike founded Mavex in 1996. He has a Business Administration degree with a major in marketing from Florida International University. Mike is the sales / general  manager. His duties include engine, generator, and equipment sales / applications. He also oversees all other aspects of company business. Mike has over 18 years experience in the marine & industrial market. Beginning as a driver in 1987 and working his way up through the parts, service and sales departments has given him a great deal of experience in all aspects of the industry.

Mauricio and Mike have worked together for over 10 years. Mauricio was hired as a parts salesman in 1994 when Mike was the general manager of another local engine and generator distributor. When Mavex was founded, Mauricio immediately came over to the company. Mauricio is a 1992 graduate of Cuba’s Naval Academy with a degree in Naval and Mechanical Engineering. As well as being the parts manager, Mauricio also assists with all other aspects of company business.

Mike's mother Mercy has been with Mavex since April 2002. She has a business administration degree with a major in Accounting from Florida International University. Her duties include Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, payroll as well as other administrative duties.

Mario Alonso  Service Manager mario@mavex.com

Mario joined Mavex in 2001. He is a 1992 graduate of Cuba's Politechnical Academy, where he specialized in diesel engine / generator theory and repair. After graduation, Mario worked 5 years with Cuba's largest commercial ship yard. Upon arriving in the U. S. he worked another 4 years as a service technician with a local engine and generator distributor. At Mavex he is in charge of all service department functions. He attends all factory service schools, trains all new technicians, and supervises all service work.

Marcus Alberto  Parts & service marcus@mavex.com

Marcus joined Mavex in 2001, after graduating from Hialeah High School. Marcus started in the warehouse with shipping and receiving but quickly moved up to the parts and service department. He is currently in charge of all parts counter activity as well as many service department functions.  

Diana Torres  Assistant diana@mavex.com

Diana joined Mavex in 1998. She is a graduate of the Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano in Bogotá Colombia. Her primary duties are, but not limited to, assisting the parts, service and sales departments.

Patricio Artigas  Warehouse/Shipping and Receiving patricio@mavex.com

Patricio joined Mavex in 1997. Patricio is currently in charge of all warehouse shipping and receiving. He also coordinates all local deliveries.
